Pangada SH Church's former Vicar Rev.Fr Kurian Vadakkekkuttu made a great effort in the establishment of SH School Pangada.8th June 1978 was that blessed day.His Grace Mar Antony Padiyara,former Arch Boshop blessed the auspecious occasion.The then Home Minister Sri K Karunakaran inaugurated the school by lighting the lamp.Thus SH School became a reality.

Sr.Antoine SH was the first Head Mistress. Under her guidance Sr. Lucitta SH, Sr.Mary Paul SH, Sr. Louis Mariya and Smt Mary PT became the first teaching staff of this instituition.SH School became SH High School on 30th April 1983. Rev. Fr. Varghese Aattuvathala was behind this venture. At that time Sr.Celin was the Head of the instituition.Till then SH HS was only meant for girls.As the need of the hour Rev.Fr. Louis Vellanickel and the then Head Mistress Sr.Mary Paul wanted to make SH a mixed school. As a result of their hard work, SH HS beacame a mixed school on 6th June 2003.
