Catch the core!
S.B. Commerce Combine is the first commerce Association of its kind in the Higher Secondary section all over Kerala. It is a student’s body subsuming all higher secondary students in commerce. The key goal of the combine is to help students to face the challenges in the evolving economic world and bring out the talent in them.
The combine conducts interschool competitions every year in topics related to Commerce and Business.
Training programmes and lectures on topics related to commerce are also conducted.

We have three inter-school contests:
1. Commerce Quiz
First Prize: Rs 2000
Second Prize: Rs 1000
Third Prize: Rs 500
Guidelines:
- Students of Class XI and XII are eligible to participate
- Schools can send any number of teams
- A team consists of 2 commerce students
- No TA will be provided
- The participants with authentication letters should report before 9.30 am
- There will be no registration fee
Topics
Accountancy, Business Studies, Economics: Plus One, Plust Two level - 50%
General Knowledge (Arts, Sports, Current Affairs etc) -50%
2. Debate Competition
First Prize: Rs 1000
Second Prize: Rs 750
Third Prize: Rs 500
Topic:
"Corruption Cannot be Eradicated by Laws"
Students on any stram of Class XI and Class XII are eligible to participate in the competition. Medium of debate can be either English or Malayalam. A team would consist of two speakers, one speaking for the motion and the other, against.
The debate will be evaluated by a panel of judges based on the following criteria:

Knowledge and depth: 50 Marks
Presentation
Style of delivery: 10 Marks
Engaging the attention of the audience: 10 Marks
Language
Lucidity: 10 Marks
Precision: 10 Marks
Time Management: 10 Marks
Total : 100 Marks
Each school may send up to two teams.
Time alloted will be 6 minutes for each team.
There will be no registration fee.
3. Nadan Pattu
First Prize: Rs 1000
Second Prize: Rs 750
Third Prize: Rs 500
- Teams can take up to 10 minutes
- Only traditional folk songs are allowed
- Vaythari is necessary
- Repetition is allowed
- A team of up to 5 participants can compete.
