About Us

St. George’s Lower Primary School nestled under the serene surroundings of St. George’s Church, Muttar . The School came into being in 1905 with the objective of providing mental, cultural and moral development of children. It provides high quality education to both boys and girls in the age group of 5-10 years against the background of true Indian culture and a healthy environment in which they imbibe a spirit of service to community and ultimately to mankind.
The School is an aided minority institution which has completed 106 years of its existence and glorious service in the field of education to the Church and Nation.
During the period the school has rendered a remarkable service to the society, especially to the villagers of Muttar by moulding thousands of young children into a valuable contributor to society. Now, the school is a well established centre of learning offering Kerala State Board syallabus in both English and Malayalam medium.
The school is situated at Muttar Panchayat in Kuttanad Taluk in the lake district of Alappuzha. We have a Computer roo, Libraryand has a playground. The luxuriant greenery,meandering rivulets, holiness of nearby Church and the placid tranquility altogether provide a congenial atmosphere for learning and development
