The natives of punnathura had an ambition for the establishment of a school with their parish. Rev. Fr. John pottedam who has bought a land in his name on 3rd july in 1912 for the educational development of the native socity. he has established an "Aksharakalari"& "KUDIPALLIKOODAM'' at kayalparampil land, which he himself baught from anative sri. Thonikuzhiyil thomas sir, Rev. sr. Kochuthresia from S.H convent were appointed as Head master and the First teacher of this school respectively.

             The "Aksharakalari" & " Kudipallikoodam" are located at the Marangattil Sri. Aiepp mathan's property. He was a member of the parish. The above institutions are combined together and then estabilished as anew school near to the church. Rev. Fr, John lived in this school building, while the church was built.when the school had only two classes foe teaching. after that there was an increase in the numerical strenghth of the students and teachers. so they built  more buildings for theirneeds.

 in 1947 the parish committee had decided to upgrade the school as a high school and it is filled in 1952 Sri. V.D chacko was the first headmaster of this school.

 this school is smoothely working under the remarkable leadership of punnathura parish and socity. And they give enough co-operations ti time when ever we needit.
