St. Anne,s Girls Higher Secondary School was established on 19th May
1913 with 49 students and 2 teachers, by the Fransiscan Clarist Congregation. We use this opportunity to express our sincere gratitude to the CMI Faters who handed over this institution in its infacy state. It situates at the heart of Changanacherry town. The school shares the same compound with St. Joseph's Clarist Convent and hence maintains a prayerful atmosphere days through. The convent and school premises are blessed by the holy presence of St. Alphonsa ever since the time she had been an inmate here. The school was upgraded to a Middle School in 1937 and a High School in 1968. On March 1971 the first SSLC batch appeared for the examination. Now about 2000 students studying in 40 divisions. The school has a history of receiving the Award instituted by the Lions Club for the best school in the locality many a time . For several years we were a recepient of the Overall Trophy for the Best School in the Corporate Management.
